The fifth generation of Fujifilm X100-series constitutes a major upgrade compared to previous models. For example, the Fujifilm X100V screen is twistable, which comes in handy when one needs to take shots from above or underneath the object of interest.

New functions
The new X-Processor 4 allows for three times higher processing speeds compared to previous versions. This enables the 2.16 million pixels phase-detected autofocus (AF) to quickly focus at great precision. It's possible to limit the range of the autofocus by selecting two predetermined distances for the camera to operate within.

Design and sensor
The camera enclosure is made out of aluminium, which makes the edges somewhat sharper. The new design can better withstand rain and wind. It's also possible to purchase the PRF-49 protective filter and a UV filter adaptor AR-X100 to completely protect the camera from dirt and moisture.
The backlit APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, sports 26.1 MP resolution. The X-T3 and X-Pro3 cameras utilize the same sensor.
Pricing and release date
Fujifilm will release X100V in March 2020. The customers can choose between black and silver colours.
The recommended retail price is NZ$2,479 inclusive of GST. Hence, it's about $150 more expensive than the predecessor X100F.
