PriceMe consumer reported about Moto E4 last week, and the news from the Chinese tech giant Lenovo just keeps flowing. The company will launch second-generation successors to the Z-series. Moto Z2 Play and Moto Z2 will launch in June this year. Surprisingly, the battery capacity of Z Play, one of the phone’s most beloved features, will be reduced significantly.
Lenovo is trying hard to capitalise upon its strategic Motorola acquisition. The new budget Moto E4 series will likely be released on June the 8th. In addition, the company will launch successors to the popular mid-range phones Moto Z and Moto Z Play.
Moto Z is a really thin phone with a powerful processor. The Play version is thicker, cheaper and possesses less powerful processor. Its battery capacity, however, really stands out at 3,510 mAh. Lenovo, unfortunately, will equip the second generation Moto Z2 Play with a 3,000 mAh battery as it reduces the thickness by 1 mm and the weight by 20 gram. There are also some improvements of course. The storage capacity increases from 32 GB to 64 GB and the RAM memory from 3 Gb to 4 GB.
The reduced battery capacity implies a reduced battery life between charges from 50 hours to 30 hours.
