Lenovo owns the Motorola Moto brand and plans to further develop its Moto product line this year. The well-know leakster Evan Blass claims that recent leaks are trustworthy. This means that we can look forward to at least six new Moto phones in 2018 from the Moto G6, Z3, and X5 series.
Moto G6
Moto G6 will be the first series and will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of February. The present G5 series consists out of four models, and G6 will have three phones in various price ranges.Moto G6 Play is a budget phone with a high-capacity 4,000 mAh battery and a 1,280 x 720 px screen with a 16:9 format.
Moto G6 is a 5.7-inch mid-range phone. The screen is taller than G6 Play’s and sports an 18:9 format (which means that its height is double its width). The phone is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 450 processor. There are dual cameras with a resolution of 12 MP and 5 MP. There are two hardware options to choose from; 32 GB storage with 3 GB memory or 64 GB with 4 GB memory. The battery capacity is 3,000 mAh.
The larger 5.93-inch Moto G6 Plus version is an upgrade of Moto G5 Plus, which launched in May last year. The latest model sports the more powerful Snapdragon 630 processor. It also offers a slightly better 3,200 mAh battery.

Moto Z3
The modular Z3 series is the successor to last year’s Z2. Moto Z3 is a flagship phone in 18:9 format. The phone lacks a fingerprint sensor and therefore optimises the screen coverage ratio. Moto Z3 Play is more of a mid-market phone that replaces the predecessor Z2 Play. It features rounded edges and a 5G mod that can be attached.Moto X5
We finally have the X5 series. It’s expected to support facial recognition since X4 is really good at understanding objects in front of the camera. It’s worth noting that there are dual cameras on both the front and the rear sides.
