Google has started the roll-out of the latest version of the latest Android operating system to Nexus devices. In addition, Sony has also announced that many of its phones will receive an upgrade.
Google is the creator of the Android OS and it's, therefore, no surprise that it's upgrading its own Nexus phones first the coming weeks including Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player. Android One is also slated for an upgrade.
Sony followed Google's lead and have confirmed that the following phones will receive an upgrade:
- Xperia X
- Xperia XA
- Xperia XA Ultra
- Xperia X Performance
- Xperia Z5
- Xperia Z5 Premium
- Xperia Z5 Compact
- Xperia Z4
- Xperia Z3+
